How To: 2006 Yamaha R6 Rear Shock Replacement
Made a quick video on Rear shock suspension replacement. This is my 2006 Yamaha R6, but I know there are many other bikes out there with similar suspension basics. The same basics can probably be applied to most.

Definitely worth checking out your service manual for the exacts, but I hope this may help some people if ever needed! :)

Cheers all & thanks for the support,

I just replaced my rear shock on the ole seca II. With no access to jackstands or a way to lift the rear of the bike I had to get creative. I went with a very simple solution to alleviate the weight on the shock. I took a scissor jack from my wife's van and put it between the rear tire and the frame's cross brace under the seat area. screwed the jack up util the loosened bolts slid out with ease. bike was on its side stand the entire time and total project time was about 20 minutes.
