Almost 20. Just thinking that if I was in the UK I could have the A2 license makes me mad (you need to be 20 here to take the test).

A lot of Brits aren't happy with the tiered licence system and will see lots staying as learners until 24 and taking just the one test. Massive oversight as there will be people riding for 7 years with no proper training.

We have the same tiered licenses. Ours are +1 year due to the lack of education that most drivers have.
We also don't have learners. If you take THE test (only one exists for each tier) and pass you can ride just like anyone else (given the CC and BHP are in the limits of the license). Our tests are 50% in a track (balance , emergency braking etc) and 50% on the road , with 4-6 other bikes following you , waiting for their turn to be tested.
