How Much?

Hey guys,

Finances are getting incredibly tough, and I probably don't *really* need 3 motorcycles for the time being, so I'll likely be putting my custom Honda CB500 and Suzuki GSX600F up for sale soon.

My Suzuki GSX600F - 2000 plate, red, around 50k miles on the clock. Very reliable bike, top speed of around 135. Not without its faults; currently has a damage fuel tank causing it to drip leak fuel constantly, though hoping to fix this soon with petcock sealant. The plastics are damaged all over; marks, a couple cracks, and general scratching, same with the top yoke; lots of scratches from when somebody tried to steal the bike with a screwdriver for a key. Seat also now has a couple of tears in the vinyl, exposing the foam underneath.

Plus sides; new rear pads, new rear disc, new chain and sprockets approx. 600 miles ago, full stainless steel exhaust system, recent full service (Shell 10W40 Fully Synthetic Oil, K&N Oil Filter, New Air Filter, New NGK Spark Plugs, New Fuel Filter), Phillips +50% Bright Headlight Bulbs, Oxford heated grips, new rear tyre, fully bled front and rear brakes, recently balanced carbs, always ran with 97 octane unleaded fuel.

My Honda CB500 Streetfighter - 1997 plate, around 24k miles, customised bike. Custom black and yellow paint, shortened swingarm, performance exhaust, aftermarket suspension, uprated radiator, engine has had full new gasket set throughout at time of getting bike on road (at around 20k miles), new chain and sprockets, new battery, new reg/rec, new CDI, new starter solenoid, custom rear cowl. Everything works as it should. Currently has a bald rear tyre though that will replaced with a brand new one before sale. Other downsides; this bike is one of the older model CB500's, and as such, has a rear drum rather than a rear disc.

Both bikes will be supplied with fresh 12 months MOT, and I'll ensure there are no advisories.

Just looking to see what people think the bikes are worth; I've always been terrible at selling bikes as I'm no good at haggling, and honestly have no clue what they're worth in their current condition.

Apologies if this was not the appropriate place to post this by the way; honestly just have no clue where else to go!

Go for ebay

However be warned even though you've put a lot of money into your street fighter it doesn't up the value of your bike to the same price the extra's cost. So get on ebay/gumtree and autotrader and look at similar bikes ect then add a few quid maybe 200-500 on top for the extras.

Another tip is if you want say £1500 put it on ebay ect at £1700 and except people will make offers for £1500 :)
