How many people do you subscribe to?

278 - Although I recently had a cull of most of the people who hadn't uploaded in over a year. A few I kept as I liked their stuff and I hope they'll be back some day.

I've got 51, but a few of those channels don't post any more, Like RatBikerNotts, who's rat bike constructions I thought where really good (There's something I love about rat bikes). And there are plenty of channels on there that I should really go though and cull, not really my taste any more.

I'm sure you've seen RatQueenBikes, but just in case you haven't, check her out.

Yeah its funny how our tastes 'mature' as we get into the motovlogs more and more. Some of the people that I'm subscribed to I wonder why I still am but then live in hope that a gem will pop out.

320??? Jesus!!

I thought I was going over the top at 51. I don't know how you keep on top of them. I'm struggling with mine and I already feel like....

I don't keep on top of them which is why I'm trying to delete a bunch. I actually miss a lot of stuff that I would like to see because I have so many. I had a good reason for all the subs but it got out of hand. Before I started deleting them I think I had around 700. Almost all of them are motovloggers. If you're interested in the reason keep an eye on my channel. I'll be uploading a video talking about it soon.

I operate the same way @CaptainCranky does. I watch the people who comment regularly on my videos... I give other the people the benefit of the doubt for a while but if they don't develop a rapport with me or comment back then why the fuck am I watching their shit.... Its about friendship and camaraderie across states and nations. I comment on any video that I watch no matter what.

Will be keeping an eye out! ;)

I've often wondered why you've commented on my vlogs! I think its my dulcit tones soothing you... LOL Thank gawd for brotherly love!! Hahahaha I do agree with you though, if there's no connection, there's no interest.

Im subbed to around 40 motovloggers and 30+ other channels!

Ive got 49 subscribers and its been on that number for ages! I keep checking everyday whether i hit that 50 milestone.

BUT ITS NEVER HAPPENING!!

One day I'm going to get you to comment on one of mine now. LOL
I didn't mean that in an elitist way. I comment on videos I know I will get a response due to friendships (albeit internet-friendships) built over the years. I don't tend to comment on the bigger names, not that I'm subscribed to many, because they get inundated with comments so I know that there will be no reply.

Like a lot of people, I initially subbed to a lot of the 'big' motovloggers, but over time I unsubbed them as they seemed more concerned with quantity over quality. I've stuck with some, but I find a lot of the smaller vloggers have more interesting content and they're more likely to reply to my posts. Either way, I don't usually comment if there's more than 50 comments on a video. I'll just be wasting my time, unless it's someone I know that goes the extra mile to engage with their subs.

Exactly what I did :)

Im subbed to 75 and I havnt missed any of their videos and ive seen most of their previous videos (from before I subbed). I dont see the point of subbing otherwise. I also have about 10 more just bookmarked that I keep an eye on every now and then to see if they continue.

Which big vloggers have you unsubbed from? Dont worry about offending anyone... we all unsub people, but im interested in how some of the big guys keep an audience. I almost unsubbed Spicy, but every now and then he says something to keep my interest. I will probably move on eventually. I never subbed M13. I watched half a dozen of his videos and found him boring and was put off by misleading titles. I unsubbed C2W. I just subbed him because i saw his name everywhere, but it didnt interest me and so changed my mind.

I watched a few of M13's vids and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. Never subbed him. There are so many motovloggers, we can't sub to them all, so I have to weed them down before I sub. My initial rejection process begins with wheelies. If you constantly wheelie on public roads, then IMO you're giving the rest of us a bad name. People think we're all like that. I can watch really good stunt bikers do all sorts of amazing tricks, so why would I waste my time watching your one-trick-pony stunt. No gloves - if you're not wearing gloves I spend the whole video hoping you don't go sliding down the road. It distracts from my enjoyment of the vlog, which may be very good, but I'd never know because I'm stressing about the future slide.
Too many vlogs - If you're uploading multiple times a week then you're just filling my youtube inbox. Ain't nobody got time fo' dat.
But to answer your question, I unsubbed from C2W & DS83. I'm sure they're nice guys, just not my thing. I still sub to bakerXderek, iamramekin, dlinquencious.

To be totally honest most of the people I've developed a real rapport with post regularly here on motovlog, it helps build a kinship because we can't just know each other from youtube videos. I've unsubbed most of the big guys too, also not out of spite but mostly because I kinda get bored just like @Nerb and @TriumfAnt said... with the exception being mototrippin. That guy really has a knack for making a great video and being a great public speaker... or private speaker... I'm not sure which one it is lol

And @Phill Andera I love your style man! I comment on stuff I enjoy.

All good brother. That's just my attempt at pretty shitty humor! LOL

Nerb your post made me laugh!

For me, I think I have multiple personalities. I'll defend to the death any phuckers right to say and edit what he/she wants, and I respect all the people who put the time and effort into making a vlog. Despite shitty content, shitty production quality - sound, editing etc (mine is good example at the moment LOL) there is someone out the who'll love it. I think that's great!

Then there is my Mr Hyde personality that despite respecting all the vloggers, some of them just give me the drizzling shits! LOL Not on a personal level but just in style. Similar to you, I'm always so tempted to unsub Spicy but haven't yet for fear of missing one of his good vlogs which I think we're more common for him earlier. I find now his vlogs are a little 'The Reluctant Hero' syndrome.

M13 was my first vlogger that I watched but now question why he's still there. At the start I understood him as a Westerner living a significant period in an Asian culture who love bikes etc, but now.... I don't enjoy how he constantly rants about his wife and wants to leave her, constantly says her family is a version of 'white trash' then spends the next 10 minutes airing her family's dirty laundry etc. I don't enjoy how he really seems to look down or be disrespectful to the people who pay to go on his tours (they are paying his wage FFS!)....and the list goes on.

That all bring said, there were some vlogs that I enjoyed at the start and live in hope that they'll find their mojo again to what attracted me in the first place. Just not sure if I'll have the stamina to last which probably wouldn't worry them in the slightest. Poor little 'ol ineffectual me! LOL

Some of the vloggers out there who I say are medium big are just awesome though. I have so much respect for XXXDeadHead. His production quality is becoming excellent, his content interesting, he's humble, can be funny, doesn't ride around acting like a dick and has commented I think every time I've left a post....despite having a significant size group following that comments to him.

Accidental Broadcast++ is another guy I really enjoy. Different style motor biking to what I do considering he rides a 'chook chaser'. His cinematography is always great, he is quite poetic which I enjoy and man that scenery!

And then there all you bunch of loonies on this thread. I enjoy watching all your vids as by seeing what you comment, interacting and bantering with you all makes me feel that I've built a solid connection and then watching your stuff just confirms the reasons why I enjoy interacting.

That's the sort of stuff that makes this community strong....that and the fact that we all ride these awesome machines that make us feel free as a bird!
