How long does it take to upload your videos?

Yes, rural Ontario (we are in the Collingwood area) uses old phone lines from the 50s. We often have to call in a tech to change lines because they get too crackly and noisy to handle a connection at all. There is no internet love for us here that's for sure. I set up an 8 gig video last night around 10pm. It's been uploading over night. Right now it's almost 10am the next day and I was pleasantly surprised to see it's already to 50%.

It makes me wonder how Itchy Boots does it from the back country of Botswana or Namibia.

I've always been impressed at how fast Itchy Boots can edit her videos together while on the road like she does.

You know what I've come to realize/theorize about that? That once you find your style, rhythm/cadence, have your tech set up the way you like... well, the editing just gets FASTER. I knocked out like 4 videos a few weeks ago, basically one each night, from raw footage to finished product. It was still 16-20 hours of editing, but it all seemed to fall together quite quickly. At this point in the game, I have Resolve set up the way I like, Power Bins full of assets [overlays, SFX, Music, etc.], can get my multicam clips set up quickly, and use the Speed Editor to get my raw footage to rough cut with lightning speed. Then it's off to the races with the add-ons, a few playthroughs to catch any mistakes and do final tweaks, and then render/review/upload.
