How Far Is Your Commute?

Those who daily...which I think is most, what is your commute and what do you think is too long?

Myself, it's a 20mi round trip. I'm about to change it to a 90mi round trip though. My seat time is only going to change about 15min each way. Big city traffic vs. rural hwys.

My commute now is about 10 miles round trip on surface streets. I used to commute about 15 miles each way before I moved closer to my work. That trip was hairy because I had to do 3 highway changes and was usually always in traffic. Luckily, in CA I can lane split, but it still sucked.

My commute to college is 40 miles round trip, and I take my DRZ400 most of the time. There really isn't any traffic so it's a pretty quick.

However, I'm going to be transferring to another school soon and my commute will become close to 100 miles round trip, but majority will be highway riding which does get traffic. So I'm currently in the process of buying a secondary bike for that, or I might just bite the bullet and buy a small truck.

15 miles each way, leaving one town, main road through to large city, and then into the centre. Then back again later. I love it and do it all year round. I particularly love it when traffic is really backed up and I just fliter through, knowing I will be at my work in at minimum half the time it takes anyone on four wheels.

My commute is 82 miles round trip trough Dallas (you see this in my CarVlogs all the time). People are tards in the DFW area, so even when I got my moto-license and a bike I doubt I will ride to work. It's just too big a distance trough rush-hour hell.

A whopping 5 and a half miles from my door to the motorcycle parking. ~20 min ride with an optional motorway [offers no worthwhile time benefit in the morning], and not a huge opportunity for filtering, except for a mile stretch of dual carriageway

I don't commute, but if I did, I'm not sure I'd be happy to commute over an hour each way everyday - just think of how much sleep you use! :)

Mine takes about 3.5mins lol But my last job was a 100klm round trip, The time wasn't so bad as much as the fuel in a car, if it was on the bike it wouldn't stress me to much!

10 miles each way.

Takes me about 25mins usually, 30 on a bad day. Pretty boring journey, mostly just one road (A40 for the Londoners here). Beats the tube though :)

Mine is going to be roughly 15 minutes one way when I start college in August. But on the way home I plan on getting "lost" most days so I can have time in the saddle.

I have a 12 mile round trip. I wish the trip was a little longer, and the time between was shorter (12 hour shifts).

25 mile round trip in San Diego Traffic. Takes me roughly 21 minutes each way. Took roughly 3-4 times longer in a car.
