How Easy/hard Was It For You To Start?

lol it's funny because I can relate to a lot of what y'all are saying.. I can carry conversations by myself quite well, and it's kinda weird in my opinion.. The hardest thing about motovlogging to me is thinking of new topics and ideas to talk about...

I'm still starting but i notice sometimes I sound more natural than others, depends on the topic and such but it seems to get more natural the more you do. I just talk like i'm shooting the sh*t with an old buddy, so it might not be for everyone - i swear a lot and dont try to be politically correct really at all. Makes it easier to just blabber on though without over thinking everything.

I guess one year experience as radio broadcaster helps me a lot when talking while riding. In addition, I do talk with passenger sometimes.
And I always talk inside my head all the time, so it comes natural :p

its been an odd progression from the shyest guy you would ever meet back in my elementary and high school days to someone not afraid to speak to 500+ people. The difference with doing this is that the 500+ people I'm used to talking in front of had to be there for big corporate get togethers and what not. Now I get to see how many people WANT to listen to me :) (Mom, I hope you subscribed)

I'm going to seminary so speaking helps prepare me for the pulpit some day. I'm not what most consider an ordinary "preacher type guy" so I get to hone my skills on another passion I have and hopefully teach some new guys some biking techniques, rant against stupidity, visit some cool bike spots and so on. Most of my friends from high school (20+ years ago) find it amazing that the shyness has turned into the guy who won't shut up! One teacher even thought i was a mute!

It took (and still is taking me a little bit to get used to!) I can rehearse a vlog in my car / at home but as soon as I jump on a bike my concentration levels go up and I find it a touch harder to talk naturally. I guess I can't multitask too well!

I'm in sales so I talk all the time but at the end of the day I don't want to talk to people but I'm cool talking to myself, it may come off a little bit crazy but that's ok I'm the 2WheelManiac so crazy is ok.

I think the only things I've found difficult so far with talking while riding is:
1) becoming self aware of what I'm saying instead of just talking and editing the video later. (I'm also trying not to swear as much as I normally do. This might change later.)
2) my mouth drying out since most days it's 100+ degrees here.

It wasn't too hard to start as I talk to myself or share what I'm thinking most of the time anyway. The hard part for me is coming up with a topic. I prefer to ramble or just talk about whatever topic pops in my head while riding I find that if I try and plan a topic then it doesn't come out as good and I sound more mono toned and rehearsed.

they say, "those who talk to themselves are a little nuts..."

They don't know the half of it :)

I just got started a month ago, And Im loving the learning journey so far.

I have to admit I faced afew difficulties along the way because I am not used to talking while riding. And also after watching my videos, I think I sound like crap and should improve my pronunciation, vocab and grammar.. I should have paid more attention during English class. Heh. But maybe that is just the perfectionist in me that is talking.

The hardest part for me is getting viewers & subscribers. Because the motovlogging community here in Singapore, is well... non existent.

But most importantly Im having fun =)
