How does everyone deal with demotivation?

I must admit, with all the issues I had with the Hero4 and now I can't get the new mic to work on the Hero7 black I am suffering from demotivation. I've lost count of the rides where the footage is unusable due to sound.

Starting to feel some heavy emotions towards GoPro!

Hopefully soon I will resolve the audio issues on the Hero7 black and can get back to it. Because I really get a bit of a buzz from editing and am starting to miss it! But I can't edit videos with no sound, Its like going back to when I was too shy to talk (My early videos such as my Singapore and Philippines ride videos.) thats a step backwards in what videos I want to make, and feel like they lack personality and arent something I want to produce.

So, lets hope the new mic adapter sorts out my Hero7's audio issues!

I haven't had problems of demotivation for recording yet.
Often i have more ideas then i can possibly make, or ideas that i literally can't make.
Shower thoughts bring ideas that you can forget and thus create an interesting circle of repeating ideas that never happen ;)
Sometimes you create a vlog, you are not happy with the outcome so i want to redo it someday. Then life comes around the corner and a lot of other stuff happens and said vlog never get remade again. Maybe it will someday...

I did had the same problem as @MickFist , where most vlogs were commuting vlogs.
Which wasn't a problem for me, combining the fun and the must, but it does get boring for you watchers.
So riding outside of commuting specifically for vlogs is something i'm working on.
I do ride fun ride, just for the fun. But that often is a different mindset, and when i start to talk it goes all over the place. No subject means a shitstorm of words and subject in no logical sequence, often ending up not edited at all xD

So, now about the demotivation part:

Yes, i had in.... i think 2018... a huge difficulty with editing.
Some editing fatigue which made each vlog i had to edit feel like a task, a must-do.
Every edit took longer and longer as i was more and more procrastinating on my phone or youtube, instead of active editing.
I ended up spending one day with some minimalistic edits and then taking a small editing break.
That seemed to break the circle for me, and the first thing i edited was something i was really wanting to edit.
Best way to find the joy in it again.

Now and again i can have a "i don't feel like it" day. Often i skip that day, no longer forcing myself with deadlines etc.
Sometimes i tends to be the vlog or project, and i can enjoy editing something else. (for as far as editing is enjoyable xD )
