How do I get the muffle sound out of the mic

please help, Ive been trying to fix this for weeks. I have a crackly/muffle sound when I view the videos I collect.
i have a sport bike helmet
it does it at all speeds
i have the drift 1080
the mic is near my left eye, because there is no room in the front of a sport bike helmet
 
The first thing I would suggest is that you check your mic sensitivity settings. It should be only on 1 and never on 3!

I had the same issue when I first got mine.

I had the mic sensitivity set on 3 in this video:

But then this next video is from after I changed the settings to 1:

You will notice a huge difference in quality with the mic in exactly the same position just above my mouth.
