How do I get my channel out there!!

So I am still pretty new, I'm pretty consistent with my uploads and I have about 16 videos out. I'm having trouble getting views and subs, yet there are guys with only acouple videos so far and their videos have hundreds of views already and their subs are growing everyday. What am I doing wrong!! Help!!!

Put you yutube channel in your signature on here first of all

Joint twitter / facebook but don't spam it just let youtube post updates on there when you post a new video.
Make friends with other vloggers, I give links out on the end of my videos for other vloggers (as long as I like the content ).

Tags, make sure the tags on your video are relevant, have a good catchy title.
But most importantly good content, the video has to be interesting in some shape or form. Short videos when you first start are a good idea, 3-4mins. Cut well, try and cut out the erms, ers etc.

Thanks for the advice man! Yeah keeping the videos short is hard when you wanna cover topics. I'll definitely keep everything in mind and give you a shoutout in my next video!!

Watch your video multiple times before you upload it. You'll probably find more parts of the vlog that you can edit, or remove completely, without detracting from your vlogs topic. If you find yourself getting bored by watching your vlog multiple times, or find it 'goes on' a bit too long, then that's how other people will see it also. Don't rush to upload it just because you're tired of editing. Take a break and come back to it later.

I got an issue.
I made a facebook page, BUT... when I try to link the youtube channel to the facebook page, it links to my PERSONAL facebook, not the page. It only posts as "Personal me", not as "Cager on Two Wheels".
Which means I gotta post every video manually. Which is a pain and means I forget more often than not...

Ideas?

Cager, Which Facebook page did you have open when you tried to link to your YT channel? Is the email associated with your personal FB also the same as the one for your Cager YT channel?

make sure your login to your fan page and chick your setting and if you are using the same email..it will most likely go to your personal page

Just link your videos everywhere in comments. LOL fail youtube. I cant wait till the spammer get a load on this. I can just seem them right now, coding away to start linking everything, everywhere on youtube.
