Once my vulcan sells I might buy a friends 2001 F4i. I've never owned anything but Kawasaki since 3rd grade. Just wanted to know what y'all thought about the F4i, some pro's and con's. If any of you have owned one tell me how it was. The bike is near mint and I have no immediate mechanical concerns. My only real concern is if I'll be able to flat foot it. I'm only 5'7. Oh and the bike has 13k miles and asking $2,700.

Never owned one, but I've never read or heard ANY negative comments about them. From what I've seen, they were excellent built bikes. Basically the predecessor to the CBR series, lots of history to go by to make the decision easier.

I currently ride and vlog on an f4i, it is a 2001 model and I love it! it has over 31000 miles on it now and still going strong just the regular engine tune ups (spark plugs, air filter, chain maintenance etc.)

Do it. Buy Matt's bike. I had an F4i for 9 months and didn't have a single problem. Besides having to change out the plugs because the bike I bought hadn't been ridden in a while.
