Hi all

Took my theory and hazard perception test yesterday and passed quite easily, and been in touch with an instructor to get my training for my full licence direct access in mid-July.

Was down the pub with some old mates last night, and some had been riding for years. One offered me a good condition CBR400 that was sitting around unused, for about £700-£800. Not seen it yet.

But this would seem to fit for me if I do choose to go for a bigger machine: slim, easy for the commute, easy for filtering, not too big but big enough for me, but I'm not sure about fuel consumption.

Anyone had any experience of a CBR400? A good bike?

Re: Honda CBR400

Lovely looking bikes - really wanted one myself but couldn't find one in any sort of nic -
Have never ridden one but I believe tiger vloggers friend has one. You should send him a message

I just checked out the insurance costs via gosupermarketconfused.dotgaboodle and for tpft it's £75. That's £50 cheaper than my 125 scooter. How the hell is that possible?

£75 are you for real :0 no joking my insurance is just a couple of penny's over a grand for TPFT :( I was reassured after 1 year the insurance will half

I couldn't believe it either, was expecting about £200.

There are clearly some benefits in being an auld get, and having loads of driving experience without points or claims

I know what your saying. When I first started driving a car at 17 insurance was about £1k for the crummiest car ever I've built up 4 yrs no claims and insurance is relatively cheap for a car now ... If I had one!
