High quality intro's / editing

There is a big difference from your everyday member of the public who mashes a couple of clips together versus someone who knows what to look for and how to use a program properly for video editing.

I want to find out what makes a top intro or clip that takes the jump from "ok" to "man, they know what they are doing" !

I would like you guys to post below what you think are high quality intros and say why (style, techniques, text etc etc). Clips don't have to be complicated or extreme, just something which has been well thought out and put together.

TL/DR people: post intros/clips that appear "professional" (whatever professional means to you

I read the fourms on vimeo, they have a whole entire editing suite on what program you use to edit with.
