Helmet advice - which one?

Hi all!

I've spent all day looking for a new helmet, but I can't decide which one. I've narrowed it down to two choices:

Shoei Qwest

OR

Shark Evoline 2

I like the Shoei because it is supposed to be quiet (and I do a lot of motorway miles), and the Shark because it also functions as a road legal open-face helmet.

Any opinions? I really can't decide between the two!

Simply try them on. Before I found my Schuberth I tried Shoei, Shark, Arai and all felt different. when I put the Schuberth C3 on, I felt like I'd been wearing it forever, fantastic and matched my head shape perfectly. Don't just buy one on looks and ESPECIALLY not off the net without trying it.

Assuming you've tried them on and both are comfortable, I'd go with the Shoei. Firstly, I know more about the company and I trust them more. Secondly, modular/flip-up helmets have been (in my experience) noisy as all hell. Yes, it's nice to be able to open the front on occasion and get a nice breeze, but the ones I've used were heavy, hot, and so loud even earplugs didn't help.

Already tried both of them on. This is the problem, they both fit so well!

I have a Shoei (an XR1100) and don't know much about the Shark. I do know that the Shoei pinlock system is excellent at getting rid of misting up, even in stupidly cold weather.

The XR1100 is rather noisy though or so I've been told - it's my first helmet.
