HD picture taking camera

Im looking in to getting a HD camera for my picture taking needs, ive never had one before and i don't know much about them,

what have you lot got and whats it like?

If you want an SLR (Single lens reflex) then i would reccomend a Nikon camera, they make the best lenses.

Try and get a camera that has alot of lens and accessories available,

regular digital cameras are good for general/novice use.

I would only get a digital copact if you are going to just use it for flicking out and taking quick shots with. SLR cameras are more dedicated and therefor require a little more preparation.

Sorry if i have blagged your head, but cameras are kinda confusing at times LOL

P.S: Get a Tripod
