I have the same question, I dont wanna Google it, I want to hear it from the source.Australia Day? Is that like Boxing Day... or something
???
So in other words, doing what you usually do everyday'Tis the day we celebrate Australia by getting drunk and listening to JJJ's hottest 100.
Thats exactly what Australia day is... just a day off work.I'm not sure May Day is a national holiday in the sense something happebs, it's just a day off work. The "drinking" national holiday is NYE and recover on New Years Day.
I'm trying to make sense of what you meant hereI only just learned (on Australia day actually) that in the USA the school year goes right through Christmas and the only break is Spring break which is 12 weeks long! WTF? We have 2 weeks off in April, July, October and 6 weeks off at Christmas.
Here in my city, there are three to four days off for Thanksgiving (called fall break), two weeks off for Christmas/New Years, and a week off around Easter (called spring break). There are also a few more days off here and there...
You can see this year's calendar here:

Ah, when you say spring break, you actually mean summer break... got it...and the only break is Spring break which is 12 weeks long! WTF?
Wasn't too convincing ~_~ .....Ok, what I was told may have been an exaggeration?
