the cheapo right angle ones work fine i have found you need to make sure its really pushed in all the way compared to the normal adapters. I was iffy about the thin cord at first but it has worked well, the extra flexibility comes in handy from time to time

I guess it's a good thing I have an older camera, still haven't had any issues. Would probably be good to order another one in case this one kicks the bucket
