GoPro Mount Sticky Back

Hey All;
I would like to know what you all do when the stickiness on the back of the 2 mounts is no longer effective at going on the helmet. My mount that has the curve in it is completely smooth to where there is no stickiness on it. I used it on my trip, and I guess due to the Missouri and Nebraska winds, it made it tough for it to stay on. Luckily, I still had the other mount, but even now it is losing it's stickiness as well. Are there anything that you all do to keep it attached, short of putting super glue on the back, or should I send it back to GoPro for a replacement if it is still under warranty?

Get a new sheet of 3M VHB adhesive, remove all traces of the backing on the mount then cut the sheet to size and reapply.
When installing the mount on the helmet you should make sure that every part of the adhesive pad makes contact. If some is not contacting, it won't adhere to the surface and thus, will start removing the part that did stick. That's a recipe for a flying camera.

The digikey part for reference is 3M9847-ND for a sheet of adhesive but it is NOT the adequate thickness needed for the gopro. You need a 50~65 mil pad.

Thanks for the information. I will look that up. I am going to order it soon. I only need at the most 1 sheet. Thanks for the advice. The one I see is here at: http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?lang=en&site=us&keywords=3m9847-nd .
I appreciate it. :) Am I seeing that right for 1 it is 31.99???, and is that just sold in sheets or individually?

It seems to be the price for a pack of 6 12" x 12" sheets. Try ebay for single sheets or maybe a tape roll, the VHB 4910 is ideal because it is 1 inch wide and 40 mils thick. Take into account that the product from Digikey is not the right thickness, it's 90 mils, the thickness for the camera mount needs to be 40 up to 65 mils for the drift and Liq and I suppose it's the same for gopro.
A thicker foam on the adhesive may break in the middle or be unstable on a camera mount.

Cool thanks for letting me know. I will search ebay for it.
