I'm struggling to find answers about this online. Is there a way to mount the gopro max on a pole and have it removed automatically from footage? Or is it a specific way you mount it with the pole outside of the field of view?

I guess I could put this here too, but what editing software is required for 360 video? Can you use premier pro? I've been recording some footage with my gopro max and I'm completely new to 360 editing

To make the selfie stick invisible, it needs to be inline with the stitch line of the camera lenses

To edit with the 360 video on the Max you are best using the app for your phone or tablet if they have the specs to do so. You can edit with Premiere Pro but to get them off the camera you need to use the GoPro Max Exporter program. You can also edit them on the Insta360 Studio too, but need to save them as MP4 files to do that.

I'm not sure where that line it, for example if I wanted to mount it off the front or back of my bike, would that be possible? Or is it only directly beneath the camera, meaning it has to be a vertical pole?

The Max is a bit heavier than the One X, so you'd possibly want a shorter/stronger stick thean the One X stick I used in the video. The Insta360 One R has a nice stick, quite strong! :)
