Gopro Hero 6 Coming Soon

Today I've just read an article stating that the Hero 6 black will be announced on 28th of September and there is a sneak peak. It seem just like the old one but will now shoot in 4K60fps :D. Yay. Will anyone upgrade for that 60fps goodness?

I am doing good with my Hero4s for now, got to keep the overhead low.

I did find uploading at 4K nearly breaks my DSL bandwidth! So I am wondering as far as viewers are concerned, if they really are consuming at 4K for the same reason.

But that is just me and I would be happy to buy any 4s or 5s for pennies on the dollar since they are obsolete. :p
 
I'm not sure how it is on the gopro but my camera has an option to select external mic by default :). Isn't there a similar option for the gopro?

The session is really limited as far as battery time and since you cannot swap a battery out, the alternative is to run an external power source but that would make running an external mic tough.

So what you are saying is once again gopro have made it harder than it needs to be.

Think I'll just stick with the drift stuff till it dies then I'll worry about it.

Would be nice to go full 4K, but I don't want to have to screw around to make it work each time.

The GoPro Hero Five Session requires the same adapter that the Five Black uses. It is horrible but would allow a power-packed to be attached as well as an external microphone. But you'd still need to use an older firmware version to get the one touch record to work correctly. Hopefully the 6 will have this stuff ironed out and will not even need a mic adapter. Hopefully if it will do 4k 60fps then it'll also do 1080 with 120fps which will make decent slow motion be possible
 
Didn't take long. Almost on record with Apple with Iphone releases :D sadly, the price range is way to much for me. Especially since its only an 'Action Camera'. Think i will be waiting until it drops to a reasonable price

If your the no 1 action camera maker and by a long margin why would you bother working with others. All you would do is sell the rights to connect to the highest bidder, which is exactly what they have done.
 
It is simple man. GoPro is hardly the top dog anymore. The competition caught up with them. They need to improve, even though the are considered "the action cam". At least I see it that way.
 
Will probably be more than the Hero 5. But the average bloke will not want to pay nearly £400 for an action camera when other companies are making alternatives that are a huge fraction of the cost and do the same job as the Go Pro. It makes it harder for most to justify the extra on the Go Pro. Like most things you pay for the brand.

Won't be long before we have one that captures 2 seconds of virtual reality with all the smells and feel!
