Gopro Hero 3

well I ran into a problem. My external mic adapter was working perfectly fine (even though it was a off brand one) now it isn't. Should I shell out the $20 for the actual Gopro cable or get another off brand one?

The official one is very tough, but it doesn't bend at 90 degrees like the unofficial ones which can be a pain.

I use the official one, you can generally find them on sale if you look around. Got mine at Best Buy for 9bucks. They don't bend like C&C pointed out, so mine kinda makes a big loop before going to the back of the helmet, it's not in my view and doesn't stick out much. Cry once man, get what will keep working and never buy it again.

As Syntax said, buy cheap buy twice is a motto I often stand by.

I've done that a few times! Buy the best that your budget can extend to.

I've tried a few different ones just to test and always come back to the OEM it just fits tighter.

I bought a GoPro brand adapter off amazon for like $10 and it works perfectly, only problems I've come across are user error ( not making sure its 100% plugged in, it has a very snug fit.)
