Right been at this for ages and yet again I finally forked out the £20 for 3 curved and 3 flat adhesive from official gopro site now I have bought a mic RECOMMENDED by GOPRO from their website upon having the new mount on left hand side to fit the external mic adapter to the GoPro I found out that the setup might be wrong once again......

I have attached a picture of my setup and came across the storage issue of the extra cable and by god you get a lot of spare cable lol

Any ideas on how to get this sorted has anyone used these specific hardware before and found an easy solution please help if you can thanks !

You can remove your helmet padding and route the cables nicely to the foam before re-installing the padding.

I took the padding off yesterday my issue is there is just too much dam cable also what do I do with the on and off switch its like a bullet and the padding wont close due to the amount of length of cable I tried fitting everything in but can't lol hence why I asked for help :) its bugging me I don't want cable hanging around if you know what I mean

Funny they recommend that mic now, I just got rid of my AT3350. You can try cutting the cable and re-soldering it but I have yet to try that myself...

I wouldn't want to cut and resolder I don't trust my handy work lol I might need to buy an entire new mic lol

So I had that mic on my Fly F2 and I was able to wrap the excess cable and secure it under the visor. I'm using the BOYA non powered mic's now, great quality, no battery, no 15 mile cable...I honestly can't tell the difference in audio even thought the ATR is supposed to be superior (at least according to GoPro ;))

hmmm I don't want to cut and solder not my style might just buy another mic GoPro is starting to be a financial drain lol Drift is starting to seem much easier to adapt to than the gopro I think.... never owned a drift befre but I bet users don't have as much issues and also have more money in their pocket lol

I really didn't like the 3350. I kept forgetting to turn it off and flattening the battery. I went to the Sony ECM-CS3 that EN187 recommended, $15 from B&H and it's fantastic! No battery needed and nice short cable. Perfect. Sound quality seems better too but I could be delusional
