Any suggestions on where I can buy some good quality j-hook mounts? Preferably UK, but if the product is good, I don't mind ordering it from overseas. Everything I see on amazon has shitty reviews. - they seems to snap very easily.

I don't know what kind of force you need to apply to break even the cheap chinese ones. I am yet to break any of mine, I got in 2016, with my cheap knockoff gorpo cameras. Even the size is just slightly off, but to snap it, you'd probably need to drop several kg on it.

not much force to be honest. I was just taking it off the helmet mount, pressing those side things that bend, and boom, one snapped.

I still have one left, but want to buy another one as a spare, and when I started looking at amazon, lots of people with the exact same problem.

£300 camera needs good quality mounts, same with a £1k mobile phone on the bike.... I always buy GoPro camera mounts, they are expensive, but strong. I also tent to get the Ball Mount rather than J-Hook as it is more versatile, has built in break protection as it can move and allows you to adjust the angle if your sticky mount is jonky, or you tilt your head naturally like I do....

Yeah I had a Drift Ghost one snap on me from just taking the camera off it.. some of them are real easy to break. I now leave a GoPro one on the helmet permanently and instead unscrew the extension to remove camera. ‍I also don’t use the standard adhesive any more and use epoxy for everything as it’s so much stronger
