only one thing I really wish I caught from the exchange, for years, every time I walk in there the owner rick has been teasing me, "when are you buying a new bike"," you still riding that thing?" " you need a new bike" etc..

that day I walked in. he said "you gonna buy a bike or what?" and I replied " yup" .. slight pause, " ok, what do you want".

I had the bike I wanted picked out for months.. only option I got on it was the hand guards as per Rick's recommendation. and I value his input on the v-strom a lot because he has been riding one for years.

and it handled the snow like a champ.. barely felt a slip.
