Getting Pulled Over.

And that's the way it should be...However there is a stigma against dual sport/supermoto bikes in the US mainly in urban areas because of the high amounts of illegal dirt bikes on the street. The countryside seems to have less issues with them

Yeah, i should mention this all happened outside the city, I live in the middle of no where.

The brake light one was in the city, but it wasnt a city cop it was a military police. Happened outside an air force base. He was kind enough to pull me over before a city cop did ha.

the city cops here are insane when it comes to some things. They have a task force setup to target and inspect modified vehicles. Cars, trucks, bikes, etc. If you dont meet their strict regulations (aka, stock off the showroom floor) they will ticket you. heck even some stock vehicles have failed their inspections. and that task force is paid for by our insurance company. (public insurance, we dont have a choice

When i'm riding local trail next to my house i'll ride my bike to them, but I would never ride it in town. I actually had an encounter with a cop after finding a stolen car stashed in one of the woods, too.
She was really laid back and was just curious what I was up to. I explained what I was doing then told her about the car that was obviously hidden in the back.

I haven't been pulled over on a motorcycle yet (though there are many times where I should have been)
BUT usually when I'm pulled over in my car they're very respectful, it's routine. Give them respect and you generally receive respect.

However, I did get pulled over at like 6:30AM by the most cranky, douchebag cop I've ever experienced a few months ago.

I've never been pulled over for no reason, but I have gone through a few random drug-traffic stops.

I've found they're fine unless you're being a knob.

Ignition off, helmet off, gloves off, smile and be nice. Be an arrogant arse or a dick and they'll have great pleasure in nitpicking and try to get you for anything they can.

America, love the country love the people, not too fond of the government.... modern day nazis party .... with out the camps..... oh wait guantanamo bay.

i dont know whats up with cops out there is it them or are media spining it to make it as mad as it seems.
