So, just back from college; such fun!

Got my bike back last Saturday after £200 of repairs, including a new choke cable as the old one would stick open, which was dumping fuel. Cleaned carb, new indicator, the lot of it - sorted!

This was one of the first days I've driven it out, so I drove it out to college; at lunch time, it starts to rain. "Oh well, that's not a worry, I've driven in rain before."

Just before I leave the class for the day, the lecturer says "Oh, and you need to take these boots and these overalls home with you before next weeks lesson, it's your safety equipment". Oh bugger. So, the bike took a while to start with the choke on as it was cold, and loads of steam bellied out of the exhaust when it finally got up and running (I guess some water got in somewhere) so that took about ~10 minutes standing in the pouring rain to get it up and running, at this point I'm drenched. Now what do I do with the overalls and shoebox? Wrapped the overalls around my neck (as I wasn't going to change into them) and held the shoebox between my legs, in the pouring rain, with blowing winds and windy roads home. I must have looked like an absolute twat.

Ugh... I have to get up at 7 tomorrow morning for an interview, so I'll see how quick the bike starts in *tomorrow's* rain.

So, brighten me up folks; care to share any fun stories of fun in the rain, or looking like as much of an idiot as I did? :P Cheers.

Ha, don't worry, I was being sarcastic with the word "fun", my experience was the complete opposite. haha
