Hey erry'one,
I've decided that it's about bloody time I did my full test; theory, MOD 1 and MOD 2. I've had my bike for close to a year now, and I feel like I'm ready to get those L plates off.
I've been reading my Highway Code again, and I've been doing mock theory tests, so the theory test should be down, and I think the MOD 2 will be fine, since I'm fairly good and calm on the road (though I need to learn to emphasise shoulder checks a lot more, I tend to rely more heavily on my mirrors). The only thing I might be a bit worried about is MOD 1, mainly the figure of 8 and the collision avoidance. When I did my figure of 8 on my first CBT try, I was pants, like, really pants, and I never got tried on it again; I've been looking for a fairly empty, flat space to try a figure of 8 around my county, but all the roads are either busy, or on hills, which sucks. As for the avoidance test, I've got a big heavy cruiser with crash bars, the lot, and it's not the easiest thing to swerve, so I'm frightened I might hit the cone or something.
Anyway, does anybody have any tips or advice that I might be able to take up when it comes to any of the tests, or perhaps some advice for what to do in preparation? I'm going to the place where I did my CBT tomorrow, as I think they also run the full tests, so I'll be asking their advice too, but any extra help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
