Front Tyre Puncture

I had a slow leak in my front tyre.
I eventually repaired it, but feel a little "uneasy" to say the least.
Have any of you repaired a front tyre on a motorcycle and lived to tell the tale of success until a new tyre was needed, IE: NOT CRASH?
My tyres are recently replaced and dont want to fork out more money AGAIN if its not needed.

So far the tyre is holding just fine though, am I being paranoid?
This is the repair kit I used (I use the same for my Jeep if needed when 4x4ing)

I know of plenty of people that have repaired and used repaired tyres absolutely fine.

However the AA (breakdown people) will plug a tyre but they say it's only temporary, limit of 50mph and it's really only to get you to a tyre fitter.

If you're uneasy, no amount of people saying it's fine will truly settle your mind and give you full confidence, so it's probably a case of bite the bullet and get a new one.

Thanks!

Wouldn't recommend but I've ridden a track with a bung :)

If they're done right, they hold

I know people who have done miles and miles without an issue

It wont rip out, and the tyre carcass wont shred or make the hole bigger

HOWEVER, it is a repair, so it wont be as good as a new tyre,

I have runa rear PR4 with 4 plugs in it. I have also run a PR3 with 3 plus for over 4k miles. Now I am NOT recommending that at all. If the plug/hole is close to center of the tyre it should hold fine it is when the plug is towards the side/curvature you MUST get the tyre replaced. As most front tyres have a higher curvature I would always get a front tire replaced as soon as my pocket could afford it.

My point of view only ;)

In all likely-hood you're probably fine. If you want some extra insurance take your tire to a local tire shop and have them put a patch on the inside of the tire. My understanding is that style is considered a more permanent solution. And, here in the states, most tire shops will do it for $20, so it's cheap enough.

Plugs for the win! iv had plugs that out lasted the tire front and back i had a rear tire with 3 plugs in at the same time. i only plug if the hole is straight in and with in one inch of the middle of the tire half an inch on the front.
