Friends who are content creators?

I personally have many friends who are also content creators like us and it truly helps when you guys can converse about ideas or different content to create for our social media platforms.

I was wondering if you guys know anyone personally and if you do, do you guys talk about your content?

I know a few and try and help them as they try and help me navigate how to make better content. One of my other endevours is writing and publishing books, so self promotion and marketing is mostl grass roots and getting ideas out in the world for me always helps them grow and take on lives of their own.

Am friends with quite a few, I have chatted to them about camera tech, the 360 cameras mainly as I got in on that quite early in the game. I got one of them to help me record some stuff and have done similar for him. Is great to bounce ideas off each other, but my vlogs are normally quite simple other than the tech

I don't really know anyone who is a content creator - at least not online content. One of my oldest and closest friends makes a living from filming stock car racing (not so much right now) but we don't really talk about video stuff. Mind you, I only really started messing with it a couple of weeks ago, so you never know!

Awesome. I find it funny that we kind of become that friend who is a youtuber. It seems more or less that we each know someone who does create content for social media.

Thats really cool man. Thats a deeper connection since reading books is knowledge and you're on the otherside of that spectrum which is writing books. Have you published any of your own books yet?

I agree, it helps when you can converse about your content.

That is funny! Stock car racing, great idea! The beginning is the fun part. I still get shy mentioning my channel to old friends of mine. I'm sure you'll meet someone down the road. Literally!

I have two close buddies in another state that both ride Ducati's, so that has helped the hobby in general. One of them was doing YouTube for the past year on a monthly cadence (but airplane videos). It helped get me going to see him doing it, though.

What I think happened, although he won't admit it, is that once I started pumping out content he suddenly has been releasing weekly. So for sure we have been vibing off each other from a content creation standpoint. He's currently 4 subscribers ahead of me so a fun little street cred competition.

Truly, though, this forum is what has helped me feel like I've had a home, where I see other creators/YouTubers that are launching their channels, trying things, etc. I love it, and hope to translate it to more in-person relationships, too.

P.S. what is cool is that one of my other friends saw me really "doing this thing" after my 8th video and volunteered to help me film an intro (which I put in my 10th video). It was so cool to find someone with videography/photography skills lend a hand out.

I have 3 novels, 2 novellas and a children's picture book available on amazon!

Shameless plug - https://www.amazon.com/Jonathon-Wolfer/e/B00R321UC0?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&qid=1591795733&sr=8-1

The novels are a Young Adult trilogy set in 1986 during the last time Haley's Comet swung past. There are a few motorbikes in the story! A scooter is heavily ridden in the first book and a 1975 Sportster is introduced in the first book, and used a great deal in the second, but sporadically in the third.

I don't know anyone personally who is a content creator. I have a few friends who put videos up on their youtube channels from time to time but it's just for friends and family to watch. They aren't bothering with tags, they don't care about keywords or descriptions or thumbnails, they don't edit video at all.

That's probably why my friends are all amazed at what I've been doing with my channel so far. The fact that I can do a dissolve transition in a youtube video or have a map pop up mid frame simply floors them, LOL!

Thats awesome man. Glad you could incorporate some riding in the novels. What inspired you to write these?

Thats hilarious! Don't tell them how you do it, keep them amazed! lol. Like i said! You've become that guy among the people you personally know! I always have a soft spot for families who upload their home videos on Youtube lol.

Several of my buddies have youtube channels. It's a hobby for all of us, but when one of us starts uploading we all do. Try to push each other to do more, edit better. Once the money fell out I stopped taking the time to edit and am now favoring the raw upload.

For sure, everyone I know that uploads a vid I like it and blow up the comments. We sometimes turn comments into text messages. It can't hurt, lol.

Thats what friends are for man! Its always a good feeling when you guys push each other or even take jabs lol. Keep up the work bro! I'll check out your channel!

I don't have friends who are content creators.
I do know content creators who became friends ;)

And i have a colleague who makes music, but hinting a bit that i would love some copyright free music from her, but so far no success xD

The ghost stories from where I grew up are what inspired me for much of the story. And I chose to set the story in 1986 when Haley's Comet came by because I have vivid memories from that week. And I love the idea of a comet passing setting off weird events.

None lol. I actually may have started a motorcycle "cult" so to speak in my friend circle, I got a bunch of people riding, so maybe they'll make videos in the future? But who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
