I have two close buddies in another state that both ride Ducati's, so that has helped the hobby in general. One of them was doing YouTube for the past year on a monthly cadence (but airplane videos). It helped get me going to see him doing it, though.
What I think happened, although he won't admit it, is that once I started pumping out content he suddenly has been releasing weekly. So for sure we have been vibing off each other from a content creation standpoint. He's currently 4 subscribers ahead of me so a fun little street cred competition.
Truly, though, this forum is what has helped me feel like I've had a home, where I see other creators/YouTubers that are launching their channels, trying things, etc. I love it, and hope to translate it to more in-person relationships, too.
P.S. what is cool is that one of my other friends saw me really "doing this thing" after my 8th video and volunteered to help me film an intro (which I put in my 10th video). It was so cool to find someone with videography/photography skills lend a hand out.
