One of my freinds. ( shes a girl) Has a 125 trail bike or had one as its now totaled. Car pulled out on here bike smashed to bits she was going about 60. She went over the top broke her thema her wrist and got bruising on here brain :(. Shes sedated in addenbrookes hospital in cambridge and is planned to for the next 10 days cause of how bad it was. It just frightens the crap out of me when stuff like this happens.

Oh God No !, I hope she recovers soon.
I know what you mean with it scaring the crap outta you, some people (Typical Cagers) do not seem to grasp that We (Bikers) are venerable road users and should be treat as such ...

I know how you must feel, I've seen someone come off their bike in my mirror, turned around & seen them lay motionless in a field. < Scary moment in my life. Thankfully he was only knocked out, we have a laugh about it now but at the time it was looking fatal.

Try not to let it knock your confidence too much, because getting back on the bike & worrying about every little possiblity. Will only put you at risk.

I hope she recovers soon & is back on the bike, & I hope this is a turning point in the car drivers life. & he/she passes this incident on to his/her firends. to let them know how much of problem car drivers can be towards bikes.

I still fight with this even almost a year after my worst wreck to date. Dwelling on all the little possibilities is one of the worst things you can do. Take some time off from riding if you have to, give it a few weeks or months to get over it, but don't ride while you're that distracted. I've had a LOT of close calls in the last couple months that are due to doing exactly that, and I've had to cut a few rides short because I could see myself doing it again.

OH NO! :(
I really wish her a speedy recovery and hope she's not put off riding.
Some people just don't look enough when pulling out at junctions.
Makes me so angry when you haven't been seen and it's you who have to react.

So very sad to hear that and may the young woman have a speedy and full recovery.

Recently these incidents seem to be increasing possibly due to peoples worries about jobs and money etc that they are getting careless when driving four wheels. We must continue to maintain our 100% two wheeled concentration.

I offer my prayers alongside those of others.

Wishing for a quick and easy recovery.

These events are more uncommon than most people thing, try not to let it worry you too much.

But they do happen, thats why we should all be ATGATT. This could have been much, much worse.

Hope she has a quick and full recovery. Its always awful to hear of these sorts of things happening to fellow motorcyclists.

Everyone, me included, wishes your friend a speedy recovery and hope that there's no lasting damage at all.... Fingers crossed she's ok.
