Found a suspicious channel

Looks super suspicious one video has 4 comments 105 likes and he's got 89 subs
Don't add up?

Buying likes?
YouTube.com/yamcam97

Maybe just coincidence
What you think?

I think they're fake. If you see his previous videos with roughly the same number of views but only 6 likes. Either he's buying like or he's created 100 accounts and is very sad.

i've wondered what buying views/subs does for your channel, if they are meaningless you're not going to get any additional long term viewer ship and sharing anyway

i feel like that whole industry is for social media managers who look to improve stats for their higher up's...

I post most videos for me and my mates but a few hundred people started liking them too, now i just see is as they either like it or they dont :)

According to this video it is pretty detrimental to "buy likes" on Facebook. I would imagine it to be the same with youtube. Pretty interesting actually.

I don't see it either, the few things that came to mind would be marketing. You could show your social media channels as being successful which would in turn lead to more opportunities (resume builder e/t/c)

Social media managers are becoming more and more important to companies and someone who appears to have a high yield of subs/views might give them an edge over the competition.

Interesting piece on likes, I'll stick with posting stuff I like, and if people subscribe, all well and good, if they don't, all well and good :)

^What he typed...

I am in this thing for me. It's great that other people like my stuff, and I do put effort into trying to bring new content out that engages my viewer-base. But in the end it's just a hobby. I don't get a hard on for sub or view count.

its like this,

Genuinely good video = more likes.

he posted a video about someone trying to steal bikes, id like that if i watched it.

say for example he had 10k subs, that doesn't mean 10,000 people watch it. its generally anywhere from 10 to 30% will watch and then it goes viral from likes and shares/ comments ETC that com from other known accounts. I have 65k subs, sometimes i get 30k views on videos, other days its only 10k views. It all depends on what the video is and what the Content is about combined with what i said above.

as for buying likes etc, that doesn't do anything as youtube have a pretty wicked team of monkeys have written some code thing that tells them if the likes are legit based on whatever it is they have done etc, kinda a reason why google+ came in aswell i suspect. (maybe I'm wrong)

^ Ain't that the truth. I got 300ish subs, but my videos usually stall out at 100. Some below, some above. But it would indeed be foolish to think you'll get your sub worth of views every single video. I don't watch every video that comes in my feed either. There just isn't enough time in the day for that.

I get more views than I have subs :) I only have 45 subs though...

Surely likes mean nothing, it's views that count if monetised. If someone turns up, likes and leaves, surely a few seconds of video doesn't count for the monetisation?

I like it when people sub... that means (hopefully) I'm putting out good stuff, but it's not the reason why I do what I'm doing :p . On the 4th, I lost two subs and the text day gained one... you gain some, you looks some, but just as long as you're having fun in the end, that's all that matters :) .....
