Although green lanes are classed as roads still in the UK, they are often in a pretty rutted state so falling off or grounding out is a distinct possibility so fitting some protection is a must. I also hope to go a bit further afield on the bike, so fitting a luggage rack was also on my list of additions.

I had a real hard time fitting the rack, but that was down to my ineptitude rather than design, it came with foreign instructions, not sure if they were French or Italian tbh. I should have just googled how to fit it as there was a good blog on how to do it in English which made life so much easier :)

yup, had to drill 3x 15mm diameter holes in the tail piece and each bolt had a large spacer to take it to the frame mount point :)

Always a blast! The cramped fingers as you measure 50 and sometimes 60 times. The nervous sweating as you gently press the drill bit against the pristine plastics/tins, then that little jump as you pull in the trigger and skitter off the mark because you forgot to make a depresssion with a sharp object or straight up start the hole with a smaller drill bit. Good times.

it came with a template to drill it but it fitted in a couple of places, I chose the wrong place for the first holes.... but fortunately I hadn't realised I needed them to be 15mm and was only drilling with a 6mm bit so I could rectify :)

They were a real pain to fit, I hope they are sturdy :)

Fork gators are a double edged sword, they do protect the uppers a bit, but they also hide popped seals and water can sit inside them causing premature rusting. I am not sure which is the lesser of two weevils? :)
Haha, I am yet to sort some stickers out. I did ask a mate who started a printing business, but he didn't have the kit to do my logo properly. Will maybe look into it again in the future :)
