First Attempt First Major Fail

Well had another go today. Haven't moved the mic, just changed the settings. Rendering now so will upload and see how it goes.

Think now I have a content issue with this one as I even found it boring and I cut most of it out.

Well its official I suck at this.

Went out today, thought I had a decent ride and a decent chat. Got home to realize I hadn't plugged in the mic.

So all I got was some cool bike noises and lots of wind.

So think I need some sort of checklist before I head off from now.

I'm pretty sure every motovlogger's first vlog is a fail. It took me 4 or 5 attempts before I finally got it decent.

My mic actually works best inside the cheek pad. I just cut a small slit on the back and slid it in without the foam. I'm using a gopro though, maybe that makes a difference.

So I've been in the habit of after every ride getting the raw footage off the camera and then formatting the memory card ready for next time.

It would appear last time I missed that vital last step.

Oh well was a nice 3+ hour ride.

Battery held up really well. Mostly because it wasn't recording for well over 2 hours.

don t u check the "recording time remaining" to see how much is left?

should tell u, u didn t delete xD

PS: i shudder at the idea to just record all of a 3 hour ride. what an editing nightmare

I place my mic in the breath guard on my helmet, so it's for the most part out of the wind. It's resting right at the tip of my nose. Highway audio (65mph / 105kmh +) is decent but inaudible at times. I got the three mics for like $10 on Amazon and they work great.

Didn't plan on a 3hr ride and because I normally delete everything off it I didn't check.

Think I need to make a little checklist sometimes.

had a motovlogger meetup on saturday,
My mic was off and the other guy (yes there was a whopping two of us) , put his cam on photo mode instead of video
