Finally Put Together Some Channel Art. Opinions?

It's a bit hard to see the text, and if you extend the grass in your image I would flip the pasted bit horizontally so it matches up perfectly with the right side of the original image.

What platform were you viewing from (desktop, tv, etc)? Is the text hard to see because of the font? And not sure I'm following about the horizontal flipping part of what you said.

I'm using an iPhone and you can't ready the text on the banner at all

Is there any way you could take a screenshot from your phone? My crappy phone won't even show the channel art whatsoever. I'm curious to see how it looks from an iPhone.

Do a Google (or YouTube) search on what the channel art dimensions is that recommended. Try to use a photo that is large and crop it down to the size you want. The object/subject in the photo should not take up most of the photo so that you can crop it to the right size without having to lose the object you want to remain in the final result, then test the image by uploading it and see the preview on different platforms, usually there will some additional cropping on mobile platforms so try not to have too much text and place the text more towards the center of the image so that it is visible on all platforms.

Honestly I find it too much of a hassle for me to do all the above (for text) so I just use a simple photo but cropped in such a way that it maintains all the key images on all platforms, at least that's what I feel.

That's what I did. I downloaded YouTube's channel art template and used that to make my channel art. When it showed me the previews of my channel art, they all looked fine.

Just ajust and re-upload, Took me a few time to get mine right, Same goes with thumbnails for videos I always have to do it a few times till its right!

That's the thing, I don't know what to adjust. It looks perfect on my computer. That's why I'm asking others what platform they are viewing from and for screenshots.

So, it is now showing up in the YouTube app on my crappy Android phone and it looks fine and I can read it just fine. If someone who looks at it and finds an issue with it could please take a screenshot so I can see what you're seeing? That would be extremely helpful.

I've had issues with my channel art as well. There's a template you can download that has boxes for what it will fit on a big scree, PC, cell phone etc. It's kind of a pain in the butt, so I haven't gotten around to it.

I have already downloaded and used the template as stated above. How does the image look when you look at it Clint?

I'm on a PC right now and it looks good. I haven't had a chance to see it on my droid or tablet yet. I'll try to remember to give it a look later today.

Right on! Thanks dude! I'm glad to finally hear from someone else that it looks fine on their computer as well.
