featuring other vids in youtube

ok so im a cruiser rider, i have had my hands on a gopro for the past 2 yrs or so, and i've basically videoed every ride i've gone on (often they're all day rides, so they're long) and ive been interested int he motovlogging scene and im putting together my own channel, not so much for my own vlogs because as i love riding but have to work most daylight hours, i dont get the time to do much of it on a regular enough basis. SO here is where i come to you fellow motorbike enthusiasts, im looking to set up my own channel as i have said, but i am looking to showcase other vloggers videos, my biggest concern is the copyright and legal side of it. i want to know if the video i want to feature has all the copyright documentation on their video, and that is all above board, can i use say 2 mins of their 10-15 min video or what is the right way to go about it?

The correct way is to get written permission to use their content. If there is other content involved (as in music tracks), you will also need written documentation of that along with the video permissions.
This could still be a sticky situation if you plan to monetize for profit, in that case I would draft a written legal contract between yourself and the owner(s) of all the content involved. The time you spend on making this idea completely legitimate may equal more time than you would spend creating your own videos.

I think it would be down to getting written permission from them detailing exactly what you will be using etc, some vloggers including myself monetise their videos so technically could take traffic / money away from them. Equally it can be made a great balance if you have their agreement and you credit them linking back to the vloggers youtube site it can in turn bring more traffic.

As Switch says it can get very difficult if you intend on monetizing the videos from other vloggers that are not yours. I personally would pursue anyone that was making money off a video i created
