External microphone for Drift X170????? (not HD)

Guys, I've seen you can get external microphones for the HD170 but I have purchased an X170 and I need a way of setting up an external mic with it?
I've seen that where the mic plugs in on an HD170, there is a 3.5mm jack instead on the X170.. does this mean I could use a 3.5mm mic such as this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230751521571? ... 899wt_1270

That'll be a case of modifying the camera, it doesn't have a mic input built in. That 3.5mm jack is an output for an AV signal to a TV. You have three choices; modify the camera to wire in a mic, buy a dictaphone and mic then sync up sound and video afterwards...or buy a HD170 or HD, or a GoPro Hero 2 for that matter.
