Hi guys,

I've got a contour HD720 with the mic hardwired into it, I'm trying to find a suitable place in my lid for it, where I don't get wind noise...

As all my videos sound like a jet engine... I only wish this noise was from my bike.. ;)

I've put it under the padding behind my ear, inside the cheek pad... etc.

Anyone got any suggestions?

there is also an earphone earbud thing over the actual mic but i still get wind noise.

thanks! :)

Normally putting it in the padding actually subjects it to wind, as thats what the vents push the air onto to whip the moisture away. I sit my mic on top of my chin curtain on my helmet, no additional padding or protection afforded. Have a listen and see what you think.

I find that right behind the chinbar is best, just put a bit more padding or foam over the mic even though it's got a foam piece on it already and then tape some velcro around the bottom. Then, just velcro to the inside of your helmet chin bar.

You can also wear a neck warmer or something similar to try and stop wind noise from coming up from underneath your chin.

That is interesting, I've (in relation to wind noise) always thought of it the other way around. Will deff have to try that out when I get home.
