Electric Scooters... Rant

Does anyone know what these are? We have loads of these in Toronto, Canada. I can not even begin to say how frustrating the majority of them are to me. I get that it is a good concept, but it really should have been thought through a bit more. These bikes which produce no emissions are good for that reason, but when it comes to taking them out of your garage and taking it to work... they are a complete annoyance.

To give you all an example:
So if they choose to ride on the road with bikers, buses, and other modes of transportation, they hold up traffic. They do not have the power to get up to road speeds, making them the snail on the road.
BUT
If they choose to ride on the sidewalk, they are endangering the pedestrians, cars reversing from their driveways, and also, just being complete jack offs. Also, MOST, not all, tend to ride without any gear except a bicycle helmet! They are like baby squids!

I really want these to be removed from the planet... lol!
Thanks if you actually took the time to read this haha.

This is what it looks like if you want to check it out and slash their tires:

I don't know exactly how the transport system is like in Toronto. But in London, I would agree with your points. Nuisance for everybody. How ever in places like Amsterdam or the Netherlands in general, these would work great. In Amsterdam they have a separate road for bicycles which is divided by a curb from the main road and a small step from the side walk. People in Amsterdam rarely walk or stand on the cycle path. So IMO these would be good for somewhere like that. (I believe most of Europe use the same or similar system like Amsterdam)

Oh having a separate lane would be perfectly fine. If there were dedicated lanes for bikes and electric scooters all over Toronto, I would have no problem at all :D

The batterys used in these probably effects the pollution in a bigger scale than the tiny little 2 stroke motors or 4 stroke motors that usually go in mopeds, like going off a toyota prius you could drive a v8 petrol car and not have the same catastrophic effect as a prius batter costs to make, ie mining the zinc from canada then shipping it all to japan then to ship it to the countrys with the prius in

... And the lithium from Russia (I think?) ... Filthy nasty process!

I had no clue about this to be honest... but wow.. I guess it's time to get an anti-green, super polluting monster truck, and crush all of the electric cars on the road :D

As long as you crush all the pollies and entrepreneurs who advocates for this huge public lie.

you could have any oil burner you wanted in the world and still do less damage to the planet than these hybrid cars, and i also found out those batterys in said car do not last 10 years, they have to be replaced before, and that you never fully own the battery

got those damn things in Alberta,Canada. only people who have them are 14 year old who have their learners and do not want to drive with their parents. I disagree with Alberta letting these young people jump on these things and take them on the road by themselves. they endanger almost everyone when they do. I have seen them go off the road onto the side walk to avoid traffic. and I have seen them hold up 20 to 30 cars behind them cause they can not do 60km/h. I hate them so much.
