Dual Cam Setup Ideas?

The guy who rides in red
Well, a very good friend of mine told me she's getting me an action camera for my birthday. I'm wondering what are some good ideas for the dual cam setup? I'll be using my current one too, and the best one out of the two is going on my helmet. Where should the other go? I know you could do one facing yourself, but that seems a little boring unless you're ArsonRides. His helmet face makes it a little more entertaining

You could do a road facing on bike set-up, that way if you were riding "spiritedly" you could switch to that camera which would save you possibly needing to blank out the speedometer.

I use hand gestures a lot so I have a second camera mounted on the front of the bike pointed back at me. If you don't talk with your hands then yeah it might be boring. Another favorite place to put a camera is on my fairing pointed forward. It shows the front wheel and the shock compressing. I rarely ever use the footage though because it just doesn't see to fit with motovlogs. I've used it on some travel videos though as transitions or sped up to show the passage of time during a trip. I also keep one on the back of the bike pointing to the rear but rarely ever use the footage. I think the only time I've used the rear footage is when I'm riding with someone else and doing a dual vlog.

I shot this video with 1 camera. Used a few different mounting points and then cut it together to look like it was multiple cameras. I dd do multiple passes on that stretch of road as well.

I see what you did there! I've employed the multi take approach in film production quite a lot. Although now I'm working on a new film that will be shot with a dual camera setup. It does help quite a lot althoug h complicates the process.

As for vlogs, I think you got some really nice angles I might want to try myself!

Thanks very much :)
