Drift Stealth vs. Compact

Hello everyone,

I've been looking into getting a new (or shall I say first) helmet camera for some time now. Lately I found some pretty good deals on the Drift Stealth - we're talking about 200 EUR incl. camera, mic & rubber boot - and that made me wonder: Is the smaller Compact version worth the extra price, i.e. 150 EUR or 120 GBP?
From what I can see, you're paying 75% extra for a bit more convenience with the end-cap and being able to use any 3.5mm-jack microphone plus having a smaller and lighter case... Am I missing a revolutionary feature that would justify that price or is that it?

Would you recommend paying that 'little bit' extra or stick with the - what seems to me - more sensible option?

Thanks for your help!

150eur, difference is not justified.

The Drift mic works well with the Drift, the reason why they gave you the opportunity to add a 3.5mm jack to it is so you pay extra for the cam & don't have to pay for their mic & boot.

Not worth it, weight isn't an issue so don't worry, buy the stealth & treat yourself to a new pair of gloves. :)

Thanks for the quick answer! Possibly going to use the saved bucks to get - well at least part of - a dedicated camera helmet, though ;) I couldn't bear putting a sticky-thing on mine.

The Drift HD has a replaceable lens. Bust the lens on your Drift Stealth and then tell me it wasn't worth a little extra to get the HD. I remember some guy had one and busted it and bitched in one of his videos about how they wouldn't fix it.

Thats why when you look after things you don't have to fix them.

There pretty heavy duty cameras & if you where to drop it lens down by the time it hit the ground it would have fliped. the heavist side is the battery side so thatwould land first < but again thats a different topic.

There not worth the extra 150, because you can just buy another stealth if needs be?
