To answer the original question - the person operating the camera has more to do with the end result than brand.

And I'm still using the plain old HD Hero.

I absolutly love the GoPro HD Hero 2, however 1 thing to consider is that when you use an external mic with the skeleton housing the camera is not waterproof so no vlogging in the rain sadly.

I use the drift boot thingy in the rain, works well
