Drift Ghost Hd Or Ion Air Pro 2?

i can get these for about the same price on amazon right now. I'm not sure which direction would be best. I already have an ion air pro (1) and it's okay. video quality isn't the best ever, but it works. I just plain want a new camera that's a little bit better and i'm not sure which one to get.

If i go iOn, i already have the helmet mount. if i get the drift, i have to learn an entirely new camera.

can someone give me some pros and cons of the drift ghost hd?

I got the ghost s, only thing id complain about is the audio but an external mic should fix that. I record at 60fps 1080p for about an hour, i havent gone any longer. Over all id say it a great camera easy to use.

I've had my Ghost HD for 2 years and never had a problem with it. My only complaint is that the flashing lights on the remote, which let you know which mode it's in, aren't very obvious in bright sunny weather. But I never change modes while riding, so it's not a big deal.

I've got a drift hd ghost coming in the mail. Should be here saturday. I'm coming from using gopro and sony so I'll let you know how it stacks up and how easy and quick it is to use.

I just bought a (hopefully real) ghost s off of ebay. i watched some videos on ghost s vs hd ghost at night and the difference was amazing. are you guys using the ghost mic or some other mic? i've been getting neweers and splicing them into my ion.

I just got a drift hd ghost after using a contour roam so I've stepped up significantly in terms of features, practicalness and ease of use. Im using the standard drift mic tucked away in the side liner of my flip face helmet and it is fantastic. Once I figured out the buttons on the camera and the remote (I forgot initially and had to try remember on the go - I failed) it's very straightforward and easy to record on the go.

I'm assuming you are using the back pate with the flip open mic access, does the mic seal the hole well or is there room for water/dust to get in?

I've got a Drift mic for my HD Ghost and I'm very happy with the audio, pop to my channel and pick a couple of vids if you want to check out the audio. Some of the later ones are in the new lid where I think the audio is better, but I've recently repositioned it in the old lid, but not been out to try it yet.

sounds pretty crisp. do you have to do any EQ? I usually use a preset to restore the bass and mids and cut the treble a little bit. but i like to mess around with that stuff too much.
