Well,

has this happened to you before? First time it's happened to myself while I've been out on the road.

I know when I first got my motorbike my own dogs were very cautious of it didn't really like it to begin with. Them being a doberman and border collie cross. They would bark every time I got home and as well when I first start my bike. Even a few times they tried to have a nibble and go for my legs.

But now as I've been riding for a few months they don't really give a rat's ass anymore....but occasionally my collie follows me to my bike and when I first start it he scares shit out of me by barking.

What have your dog experience's been like when you first introduced a bike to them, or even out on the road with stray/lost dogs?

When I first got the ninja my dog ran up to me barking.
I got off it, took my helmet off then smacked her (not animal abuse hard, but hard enough to feel it).
Haven't had a problem since :)

The way my family has brought up our dogs, to reprimand them we use a verb word that sounds like ARGHTTT. When they hear that they know there in the shit.
but smacks have been used when the verbal word wasn't enough.

I've had dogs bark at me when I pass them but my own one doesn't bother. Although she does look at me funny when I walk in the house with my helmet on.

My dog just sees mine and my dads bikes as any other object. Unfortunately this means he has a habit of walking in front of them when we're in the driveway

I had a dog close by my house that would always try to ambush me then when it failed he would chase me for a while. I always just thought it was funny, but he almost made my buddy wreck with the ambush tactic because it freaked him out and he swerved.

My dog doesn't like the bike. I tried to get her to ride one time and it'll be the last time..(spazzzz alert)
