so I've just watched a vlog of a guy called the chronicles of Mr fish and he rides a scooter and he's had people say they wouldn't subb to him just because of the bike he rides surely it's all about the content isn't it?

I wouldn't say it's completely about the content, I'd say having a certain bike can help. From my experience, I've received a significant number of subscribers who own the same bike I do. One can assume it's not a coincidence as it's not be best bike in the world hehe

I sub for content, no matter what the ride. However, I have noticed that my videos where I ride my Victory Cross Country get fewer views than the videos where I am riding my Hypermotard. Content on my end is the same so figure that one out.

I've heard the thing about fanny packs. I wouldn't wear one anyway. TO me that's akin to wearing socks with sandals.

What you ride when you motovlog probably does somewhat matter if people would want to watch your videos, but only content, or badass editing/effects, or being super douchebaggery, will get them to stick around.

Good content - They want to know what you've got to say.
Good editing/effects - They like the visuals.
Super Douchebaggery - They are either douchebags themselves, or just want to see the guy get beat up badly.

Just my thought.

It does matter. I find a fair number of people sub to my channel because they have or are interested in the bike.

I'd say a specific bike can bring people to your channel, however not subbing because it's a scooter is pretty dumb. If you like the content, stay, if you don't, then leave.

For me it's content but I know there are people who won't sub if a vlogger isn't wearing full gear all the time, if they're riding a certain style bike. To each their own, I'll sub if I like what I see.
