Do you use Gopro Voice Commands?

A little background. I have had a couple of videos turn the less than great due to audio failure even with the replacement mic adapter.

Anyway, I was thinking about using the GoPro voice command feature as a way to check if the helmet is actually picking up the microphone.

I was wondering if anyone else has tinkered with using those commands?

Garmin also has the voice commands available, but I have never used them.

I think it would work at the begging of a ride to turn it on, but it may be hard for the mic to pick up any commands during a ride with wind and engine noise.

Good point because my editing software shows a visual representation of the audio signal and it barely changes when I talk.

But even if it only picks up the initial command, at least I avoid the dreaded no audio gremlin because the camera would not respond to the command if the mic was a problem.

I only became aware of this when I borrowed my mates 7, but didnt use it. Don't think I would if I had it on my own cameras.
