Feedback Needed Do You Ride At Night?

I find riders that are very hesitant to ride at night. I have always enjoyed it. The skills and concentration needed are higher. Being a lead bike on a small group ride is quite challenging since you are the one setting the pace and the first to see any hazards.

Shooting video is tough since the camera really does not see what the human eye does.

Do you ride at night? Why or why not?

I ride all the time at night and agree a lot of riders do seem abut hesitant when riding about... I made a video too and intend on doing more over next couple of weeks...

Neat video Jafnhaar! Looked like an apocalypse happened and you were riding in a ghost town. I agree not hooligan at night especially in neighborhoods. That is how some US cities banned motorcycles from certain parts of town. Speaking of noise, I think your bike sounds fine already.

I ride day or night, ya have to knock the pace down a little at night. The thing I find hardest it the glare from oncoming vehicles headlights.

Totally agree Hippo :)

Thanks man, I plan on doing lots more but yea it was a ghost town! :)

Oh I didn't know some cities have banned motorcycles... Damn!!

Not whole cities, just parts of some cities like certain neighborhoods for certain wee hours.

If you happen to ride through one that is posted then it is cause for the cops to stop you for a chat.

Learn something new everyday :) does suck a tad though.......

Personally I like riding at night. Whilst you do tend to concentrate more. I ride back from a localish bike night and its mostly single track un-lit roads. As long as you lower your speed you'll be fine. Also if there is car following you let them go infront and use their head lights.

I like riding at night, but I still prefer riding by day.
Riding at night gives me freedom to do stupid stuff, and no one sees it.
Riding by day gives me the opportunity to see where i'm going, see speed traps faster, and I can anticipate faster.

I love riding at night. Less traffic than during the day and it's so much more relaxing. But you do have to slow down in areas where there's limited viability.

I Love Riding at night too!!!!

Best time!!

And yea I tend to do that as well, let them get in front so I can see better and if I'm on country roads they can dodge the deer and badgers and I slow down smoothly ;)
