Do you hate hyosungs?

God damnit Ham!

But yeah, mines a second hand one, and for the price I paid, the closest I can find are 5 year old ninja 250s.
I have no doubt whatsoever that future bikes will be exponentially better, but as far as lams approved motorcycles, this is pretty darn good. thanks for yall opinions though

Owned one as my first bike what seems like ages ago (about 5-6 years now).

It taught me a lot of things, both good and bad and i got hammered by almost every 250 on the road (pre EFI Hyos were waaaaay worse than they are now)

I did read somewhere about a guy turbo charging one and running under 12 Seconds.

Edit heres the video

So, being the proud owner of one now, wherever i look, all i find is hate for hyos, and most of this is from people that have never ridden or owned one, and are just hating from stories they've heard.
Has anyone here owned one, or have a valid reason to dislike them?

just curious =D
I was never a fan of the HYO, its not the type of bike that "sits right mentally" with me, it feels off and somehow visually doesnt look right. However that might be the Stigma of a china bike or what ever it is,

on the Other hand the CF Moto 650Nk is a good bike.

I have no hate for Hyosungs as I believe they have their place in the market just like cheaper model cars do. Having said that, I would not buy one....yet. I remember when Hyundai cars first hit the Aussie market, everyone bagged them for being crap, but they are respected now and make good cars. If everyone gives Hyosung a chance, they will get there in the end too.

I have never ridden one, but they certainly look the part. I was just admiring one that I walked past only a couple of hours ago! I reckon that if you are happy with yours then that is all that matters, doesn't matter what anyone else thinks really. :)

I haven't riden one before and probably wouldn't ever buy one but have caught myself admiring their styling on a couple of occasions out on the road.

I was looking at the 650nk for the longest time, but my experiences with the v-night put me off a little. If only I could find someone that owned one to take it for a spin

SV650's are very impressive bikes, 0-60 times on par with alot of bigger cc bikes, and not many otherbikes have the drive and torque an sv has they are even taken off with the isle of man folks with super twins, some of those are cranking out 100bhp, but alas their is some downfalls to them, Worst i think is from agressive down shifts you can snap the fly wheel off the crank, and in really bad wet weather the front cylinder is bad for getting saturated and ruining the ht lead and plug, but those are a easy fix usually by a fender extender :)

I had a 2008 GT125 when I was on Ls. I loved it at the time but I did have some issues, nasty fork stanchion pitting and blown fork seal. It used a little bit of oil and I broke a chain adjuster because it was seized (maybe not the bikes fault) the suspension was weirdly stiff especially the rear, and it creaked. The exhaust rotted for fun and the front brake had really corroded pistons (again maybe not the bike's fault, probably more to do with the maintenance of previous owners)

When I got my Current bike a FZ400 which isn't the greatest machine in the world, I realised how poor the Hyo was to ride. I still 'like' them though because that was my first bike. I couldn't see me buying another one to be honest.

I have not heard good things about them, haven't really heard BAD things either, but they look good imo

I've nothing against Hyosung. In fact, despite they fact that their motorcycles still have a long way to go quality-wise, I like to root for the underdog. I'm sure they will eventually catch up. In the meantime, enjoy them or what they are.

Just dislike them, Never hate ...To much effort

Dislike them because they appear cheap, crappy build quality, let riders down etc

When it comes to something that will kill me if it breaks, i dont like knowing it was built on a budget

Although most jap bikes are built on a budget, i just think it will take time for them to work out how to produce their products on mass with quality, once they have that china will take over the world, i think people forget honda and all the other jap companys were not so big as they are now it was all about nortons mvs bmws vincents indians ect, one guy quoted a honda will never with the isle of man TT now look at what they are doing :)

The Japanese bike thing wasn't quite the same as the Chinese bike thing. The Jap bikes took over because they were better, more reliable, didn't leak. The Chinese bikes are on the whole very cheap because they use cheap components and cheap metals. (As far as I am aware)

They look beautiful. I was really considering buying one this year. Good thing insurance is high for me. I probably would have killed myself on it by now. haha
