Do You Find When They Spot The Cam...

I always have the cam on me when I'm out on the bike as I find it makes me a calmer rider know full well if I mess up the world may see it.

Anyhow what I noticed a couple of weeks ago when I didn't have the cam plonked on my helmet for the first time in ages (battery problems) the other riders around me seemed much calmer on my commute

Then once again when I put the cam back on a few days later the same riders turn into nuttas attempting to get in front of me all the time.

Anyone had a similar experience ?

I do find other riders keep their distance more when I have the camera, but that's because they don't like being filmed I think.

Here in Hamburg, drivers just outright hate me so much that it makes no difference with or without camera!

I've noticed ever since I've put mine on, people seem to be trying to get on video. I had a truck slow down, pull out an air horn, and then resume only to blow it while he was going past me.

I don't think people know that my Drift is a camera. Everyone knows GoPro and it's easier to spot, so maybe that's part of the issue.

I see pedestrians looking at it, but no different attitude from drivers. Maybe the GoPro chin mount is not so easy to see, so obvious.

I have a sena on one side and drift on the other. Walkers always have a stare. Cars that stop beside me look. Never noticed anyone trying to show off on cam though.

Here in Romania people throw sharp objects at me when they see my camera. Could be because I am usually trying to bite their necks

I'm have the same setup and I've had people actually point to the drift and ask if it's a bluetooth despite the fact that the sena is on the other side.

Good topic, I've wondered if people even notice. So many people driving and not paying attention so I'm not sure they'd even see my camera. I've got my mounted upside down on the chin of my helmet.

My Sony ActionCam is white (the same colour as my helmet) and it a lot more slim-line than other cameras on the market like the GoPro, so often goes unnoticed.

Only two people have noticed the camera while I've been riding with it, might help having a Matt black helmet though, the drift is kinda camouflaged against it. Plus not many non vloggers have heard of drift so might just look like a big ass bluetooth

Yeah I noticed a change when I put mine on, Usually most ppl are just wondering what it is or why I have it in the first place, But I have noticed some people waving more or pulling a face or something like that! I usually avoid going into the shops with the camera attached though as people act like im a predetor or something.....

Lots of people spot my camera here in India, but most just stare. Some ask questions. Never noticed other drivers acting different though, just pedestrians.

Cagers ask me questions or yell out the window at me about my camera. Anything that gets their attention is a plus since no one in the US looks for bikes. Other riders I don't run into very often unless it's the weekend since here motorcycles are a recreational vehicle.

I once did a commute to work with the gopro on the back of the bike facing backwards. never put the footage up but it was quite amusing watching some of the riders behind me at the lights. They would stare into the camera or sit more upright on the bike trying to disguise the gut over hangs....hee hee suppose just in case they ended up on YT.
