I feel like I always have to have my camera on and enough battery for the gopro when I am riding otherwise I could miss something exciting. hahaha.
Anyone else?
The other day I said screw it, and enjoyed a quick paced ride without my gopro.......then as soon as a squirel crossed my path, and then a momma duck and ducklings crossing the road, I was wishing I had the gopro because I could have turned that into an amusing vlog. lol
That's too short for a GoPro battery. Should be at least 1 hour. Are you recording at 60FPS or higher?
I record on loop
I'm going to test different settings and re-evaluate my sticking to 720p@30FPS. I record at that rate because it's easier to edit, and we in this country have the slowest internet speed in our continent.I am running at 1080p @ 60fps.
720 @ 60fps didn't make much difference in time either.
How do you take note of the interesting parts? I usually end up scanning all my footageI try to have mine on for as long as I can. I can record all day with spare batteries and my batt pack. Just make sure you take note of the time of day that things of interest happened on or else you will be watching lots of footage.
even with wifi etc all turned off?The GoPro 4's have terrible battery life, it's definitely a far better idea to get the older ones if you do go for a GoPro.
even with wifi etc all turned off?
wow, now im glad i didnt go goproYeah it's around 20% worse with the same settings as as the previous generation of GoPros.
I bought one and sent it back as it was terrible compared to my Hero 3+ Black.
Your phone is free.I have the Hero 4 Silver with a spare battery and the non-LCD bacpac. I haven't timed it since it ate my brand new 128gb card, but it was something like 3+ hours without going to the spare battery. For longer trips I have a 13000 mah pack that fits my pocket and a right angle usb cable so I am basically on permanent power and can run indefinitely. Now an external recorder might be nice if they weren't so damn expensive...
